Not that I know alot about it, but have you made sure that all the business expenses are being paid for via the business. I get the impression from others that it is important to make sure you business budget and personal are separated out.
Thanks, we are working on getting them separated - it is important and we need to be strict!
Have you done a Statement of Affairs so you know what all of your monthly and yearly outgoings (divided by 12) are? Maybe it will help to identify further spending cuts.
Not done one, but I already know where we need to cut back - eating out/take away's. It's by far our biggest 'extra'
The other thing I found when I was cutting back was the old checking the utilities and insurances idea, that saved me a fair old whack of money, and on my house insurance I even made money as I went via a cash back site and got money back on the transaction.
Thank you - I have done this, ever feel like you should be paying nothing for your utilities - as each time they promise to reduce it by £300 or something. I'm sure they should be paying me by now!
Good luck going forward

Thank you - we are on it with some bigger items, and have a contact at a local auction house so we get a good rate there. Furniture next month!

What I'm learning is it's hard to keep an exact track on the money, it's up and down all the time. But I can see the overall trend is I am paying things back slowly.
Easter was good, some treat days out for all the family, but also resisted going out for another meal for anniversary, plus ate at parents for a couple of meals. Emptied freezer of odd meals last night, like to do this every few weeks, not really a believer in having tonnes of food knocking around for the sake of it.
About to do a Tesco order, find that really helps with keeping food budget on track, as OH is a nightmare if sent shopping, can regularly spend £80 when just asked to get a few basics!!
Work wise - lots of new enquiries still coming in, which is good. Still more wedding fairs to come, and the wedding season kicks of in earnest next week. Been asked to supply something for a friends film, which will probably be well seen as it is for a very well known brand. Also supplied for a magazine last week, so diversifying who may see our products.
House wise - feeling very much like we are starting to get on top of things, it's generally tidier and sorting lots of the piles of crap which seem to accumulate. Plans discussed for each room, now to get the OH motivated to do his bit...
Hope you all had a good break£2699 credit card (£3848 01.02.23)

Just had to quickly update, must have been someone's pay day, another payment received this morning so chipped another small bit off the debts.
I love seeing them slowly disappear, massive motivation.
Also - weight loss going well, 1 stone lighter since January, hoping for another few pounds before I visit family in a week or so.

Small changes again, but £200 off my C/card makes me feel happier, and 'savings' back to where they were after a couple of dips into. OH starting to get on board, he is terrible, really buries head in sand when it comes to finances and expects me to deal with it all. GRR. If it's there he spends it, feel like a 1950's housewife, but having to give him an 'allowance' to stop him spending everything!
Hope you have a good day.£2699 credit card (£3848 01.02.23)

A GOOD couple of days - some payments in, some to make, but I wanted to record this at a 'high'! to remind me of the ups and downs. Weekly check in on Sunday, hope I have hustled some more by then.
MUST get on with new business instead of procrastinating. So much potential, too afraid to jump in.
Small steps.

YAY, just a quick one - today I have paid some more off the credit card and it should now be below the 7k mark. Which makes me feel as if we are very much heading in the right direction.
There's money in the bank for rainy days too, suddenly things feel brighter.

Hello, so another week is halfway through and there's money in the accounts, which is good. Feeling really happy about it all, feeling like we are in control.
I do know that we have to find some money for a deposit on a van, and that will mean more debt, but we can not operate our business without one, so it's just something we have to do. And our kids start their 'Easter' hols this Friday, currently resisting booking a few days away. It's so hard as we really want to have some family time, but we will have to visit friends I think.
So, all is working, slowly, slowly catchy monkey.£2699 credit card (£3848 01.02.23)
