Can my life-size cut out of Elvis come round for a play-date?

He has a fondness for fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, but I can pack some for him to share with Rex.

Good question. The key for both the balcony and my front door are the same.

Trex can get hangry at times, the sandwiches would be brilliant.

No other reasons given except in ‘violation of health and safety regulations’.

That's my favourite word when they trot this stuff out. Your response is "I'm very sorry, I must not be up to date on the current regulations. Can you show me exactly which regulation it is that I'm in violation of?"

They almost certainly can't. And if they're claiming a breach of regulation, then fairly obviously that requires them to be able to actually name the regulation you're breaching. From there, the conversation should progress towards "You're entering my property without my consent in pursuit of some made up regulation that you can't back up with any kind of source. Clearly I can no longer trust you with a key. Hand it over or I'll arrange for the locks to be swapped."

Can we just establish if dino is vegetarian or not? If not, there is a real H&S danger and they have a duty to protect other residents against any risk in the event of dino getting hungry.

I think that dinosaur is WONDERFUL.., make me want to watch Primeval again. Perhaps you can leave a copy of the series tied to the other side of the door and ask if any of them are preparing to be script writers?

Cannot understand either how this could be deemed a health and safety risk. I'd consider wiring him in to the balcony.

Please where did you get him from? My son would just die from excitement if we had one in his room (so would I). Much better than the roboraptor I've just got him for his b'day coming up soon.

I'm going to guess that the H&S issue is distraction, people driving into the car park below on seeing a dinosaur on the balcony are likely to say "!!!!!!?" and not concentrate on their driving :)

Do you have another balcony that dino could move to?

And what were you thinking, your outdoor furniture could rust within six months if it is unprotected ;)
