Dartford Crossing Charge Account - forgot to remove my old car

just logged on to my dartford crossing account for first time in ages (i only cross occasionally) and found that i have been charged for 3 crossings made by my partner's old car AFTER it had been sold last year. doh!
its my own fault of course, but thankfully it hasnt cost me too much (about a fiver). just thought it might be worth issuing a word of warning to others though.

Thanks for giving us all a head up and glad you're being philosophical about it.
If you or your partner still have the contact details for whoever bought your car it might be good karma (or should that be carma?) to contact them and let them know you've removed it from your account so they can add it to theirs. If they genuinely didn't twig that they need to pay they can then sort out payment and not get caught out. If they figured out that the car was still on your account and were getting you to pay their toll fees it will be a polite way of saying "busted!" to them. If you both had the same car on you own accounts then you'll have to deicide if it's worth trying to pursue Dartford Crossing for a refund.0 -
I think it's more likely that they paid for their own crossing and Dart charge just took payment twice.0
