Blue paint shows streaks etc

Just painted a wall with Homebase Flawless Blue paint and what ever we try we can not get rid of the streak / brush marks. We have put 5 coats on now using rollers/Paint Pads and brushes but no good. As it drys you see the streaks staying visible and at the end it looks rubbish. I even tried diluting the emulson paint to make it thinner and still it looks crap.

Got the carpet being fitted tomorrow so running out of time quick.

Any ideas?
