Groupon Issues

Hi

I am after a little help and guidance, mainly to make sure I am going about this the right way!

Briefly, me and a friend bought one of their vouchers for a trampoline park near us for our families, purchasing it via their app on my phone.

I have then tried to redeem it on a time/date we wanted, only to be told that it is 'limited availability' and only on certain times/dates set by the trampoline park.

So, I have double checked and nowhere on the advert on my iPhone (both on safari and in the app) does it show limited availability, however when you check on a Windows PC it shows it in big red letters!

So, I have asked for my money back, they clearly have an issue with their app which is not showing as limited availability, so I believe I have been sold the voucher incorrectly.

No, say Groupon, stating it is outside their 14 refund period and that it is not their fault, it is the businesses!

I've bounced emails backwards and forwards to them, and they have now offered Groupon credits, which I have rejected. I don't want any credits, I want my money back I have paid (as does my friend), as if we had known it was limited availability, then a more thorough check would perhaps have been made. As it was, the voucher was purchased with the view of it being used at any time.

No, say Groupon, their system won't allow refunds outside the 14 day period.

So I have taken to social media, nothing rude/abusive, just outlining on their Facebook and Twitter pages what has happened and showing the screenshots of their app and web pages.

Still they are offering Groupon credits.

I am not wanting anything else other than my money back, which I don't think is out of the question.

So, I have now found articles from 2012 where they have been warned by the then OFT for how they sell vouchers, and have now pointed this out to Groupon.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated, and any feedback on what I have done so far?

Thanks for reading

Sam
