The Rich Now Pay for a Four Pack
Comments

I would like one place in London, near Wimbledon maybe. One place in Portland, Oregon, one in SoCal and one in New York.0
-
I couldn't really be bothered with four properties - you'd end up with a direct debit list as long as your arm.0

it seems to me that we are talking about the second order rich and not the real mccoy
the super rich just book a whole hotel for the season or just muck in with mates
trust me, I know.0 -
I fear you are all missing out the workless or workshy. They too aspire to 3 or 4 packs. For example :-
a) a council flat sublet in Brent for London culture
b) Jaywick by the Sea in the summer months
c) Salford for it's excellent transport links (a stealable Mk3 Golf is never more than a few hundred metres away)0 -

I believe noted social commenter Christopher Bridges (aka Ludacris) covered this in his song "Area Codes".0 -
Uk four pack: stoke, wood green, frome and all of scotlandLeft is never right but I always am.0

So what would be a British Persons' 4-pack?
Should it be limited to the UK or include any where we have a right to residence or even just worldwide?
London (obviously) but then what Sandbanks? Salcombe? Edinburgh(sp)? Monte Carlo or perhaps St Tropez? Courcheval 1850, Zermatt, Klosters or Gstaad? Barcelona, Madrid or Seville? A greek Island? Paris appartment?
I currently have the main house in Surrey and will soon have the mortgage paid on that and one of the BTLs in London, so keep that as a pied a terre.
Am in my early 40s now, and aim to retire at 55 so would want to add a summer house in the West of Ireland and a simple apartment in Cape Town for the winter months0 -
Surrey is not far from London. Wouldn't it be cheaper to use taxis and come home at night?
Capetown is nice but the hugely visible inequality and treatment of non-whites as second class citizens means I could never live there.I think....0 -
