Morning ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Very wet, it has been chucking it down all night so no laundry done today.
The alarm went off and we both turned over and went back to sleep, so a late, slow start. Nothing spoiling so planning on a lazy day. Just need to cook the meat balls and tomato sauce for tonight, will do the spaghetti later.
I forgot to turn the temp control down on the sitting room heater, so although I have closed it now, we may need the fire later, its laid ready to light. I am fighting buying any more coal. Fingers crossed we will not need the heating much longer.
OH's finger looks as if there is more pus in it, he has to got for an INR on Friday so will get the nurse to check it.
I started on a block for a new quilt for our bed, its a test block, I need to wash it and see how the fabric stand up to washing. The quilt I have on the bed I made in 2003. Apart from Christmas, when I put the Christmas quilt on, its been on the bed ever since. It was hand quilted for me by my quilting friend who is now almost blind, so its very precious.
OH has his jigsaw out, so I am going to sort a couple of things and then get my book to read.0 -
Good morning, though it really is a miserable day here. Like Judi, I was woken at 4 by rain bucketing down, it is a bit less heavy now but still persisting down.
I have no special plans today and that is just as well! May be forced to attack the second half of the ironing. Could a person become iron-phobic?
Last night's meal was pizza, no idea what to make today, possibly a casserole. Or toad in the hole. Or whatever I can find waiting to be cooked.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
AOD I am very iron-phobic but unfortunately there is no known cure0

I am iron phobic too. The only ironing i have to do is my husbands shirt when he has to dress up for funerals etc.
When the kids were little, non iron uniform was my best friend.:rotfl:
In fact my daughter has my iron and i'm in no rush to ask for it back.
To be honest, i dont think i know how to iron.....I'm not a great cook either (but i mean well).

Afternoon all
Back from work and awaiting a delivery from Mr T, I have DGS's uniform in the wash and another set drying on the radiators.
Long phone calls today with social services and various other interested parties.
I need to get my hair cut, but need to ask hubby if he will pay as I've used up all my wages of school stuff and school dinners for DGS, I'm not sure where we go from here!
Have a good day everyone.

Not having a very good day today - got a rotten headache, and I keep smelling cigar smoke._pale_ Now, Mr LW has never smoked in his life, I haven't smoked since May 2002, and no-one with cigars has been in here, so what the heck is going on??
I just hope it goes away by tomorrow, as I have two new-to-me guests arriving.
Tonight's dins is l/o veg stew from last night, and some veggie sausages to go with it. Choccie mousse for dessert.:drool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi guys,
Back again for a while. Spent a day at our local hospice today. Had a lovely day and lunch, nice to meet others in the same situation.
My consultant has made it clear that I am getting worse. I now have a tumour on the bottom of my spine which is giving me gip. I am trying to be positive, but it's not easy to see the woods from the trees at the moment. :A
Anyway, no moaning. Glad you are all still here. My son and DDIL will be with me from Cumbria next week, so looking forward to that.
Then aim for my birthday next month.
Have a god day.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

What is this iron gadget you all speak of ??
I have been laid low by a lurgy of some kind since last weekend, today is the first day since Sunday that I have been out of bed and dressed all day. I still dont feel very much like eating, just small amounts of things I fancy, I have no energy and no great interest in anything.
Congratulations to all who are celebrating, sympathy to those in trouble of any kind
