no credit checks when applying for pre-paid cards - be careful!

Even though there is no credit checks involved, they will do ID (i.e. name)checks. Just want to let you guys know about this. I know a few that do ID checks with CRA's, or just ask you to send some ID in.

Sounds about right this, will probably be to comply with money laundering regulations.
Why should people be careful about a company verifying their identity?!0
