Delayed Refund

Over a month ago now I ordered a bed on Amazon (3rd party seller). Bed arrived, was faulty. Contacted seller who arranged for bed to be collected and replacement delivered simultaneously.

Should have been simple, but although the second bed was delivered it also turned out to be faulty and the courier refused to collect the initial faulty bed as they claimed they didn't have the correct paperwork.

Subsequent to this I tried to organise 2 further attempts for beds to be collected, on one occasion waiting in for an entire day, but the courier never turned up. This has been dragging on for weeks but the supplier is refusing to refund the bed until it is back in their position. Meanwhile I am having to waste my saturdays waiting in for a courier who may or may not turn up.

Add to this the fact that the courier has been harassing me with calls (8am on a Sunday, for example) and refused to stop contacting me until I contacted the supplier directly (calls from courier have since started again but are not as frequent).

The whole thing is becoming farcical. Just want to clarify what my rights are in terms of getting a refund as money is tight at the moment but I am tired of sleeping on a mattress on the floor! Can I request that the company refund even though they have not received the goods due to their nominated courier not collecting them repeatedly? I've asked the supplier to use another courier, but they've refused.

Alternatively, would I be able to charge the courier for my time if I have to wait in again and courier does not turn up? It's just so frustrating wasting my Saturdays waiting for them!
