Ipad 2 slowing up

Our Ipad2 is slowing up in as much as that when typing it seems to play catch up where you wait for a second or two for the text to appear. Also web pages are taking longer to appear, running OSI 7.1.1
Anyone else having similar problems?

Have you tried turning the iPad off and on? Could be that you have a lot of apps open in the background causing the device to run slowly.

this has happened to our ipPads too, over the past week or so. Was wondering if its a software issue, but not sure why/how

and me. However I have a quick fix that helps me. When a page is open, either squeeze it to reduce, then you get a screen full of previously visited web pages and if you delete each one via the X in the top rt corner of each, you can get as many as 36 disappear. Pages then load faster. Also, if you double click the home button fast, you can then flick (upwards) screen shots. This too helps. If you carry out this daily, life and your ipad is easier.

It's planned obsolescence. When ipad 2 was released they had no intention of allow multitasking of different apps. So the specs on them were never designed for this at all. I am a bit surprised that they didn't produce a stripped down version of ios9 disabling the multitasking especially given that ipad 2 was their budget ipad designed for displays, kiosks etc. Ipad 2 does not have rretina display and it's battery life is brilliant

This started happening for me after the last OS update. It was fine before that. Harrumph.
