Blackhorse have changed default date

hi
I have checked my credit file on Experian this afternoon as one of my defaults from Blackhorse was due to drop off Feb 2016 as stated on all of my reports. I was furious to find that my credit file has been updated and they have changed the original default date meaning it won't drop off for another 18 months! I've raised it with Experian and they have queried it with Blackhorse. My question is they are bound to lie, and what are the chances of the liars changing it back to the actual date?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Purplestripe,
Have you got a copy of any of your credit files showing the original default date? Have you checked if Equifax and Call Credit are still showing the original default date? If you have proof then you can use this as part of the complaint to get the default date amended.
If you haven't got any proof then it will really be one word against another. You should still complain, take the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Information Commissioner. Good luck,
Laura
