Vehicle Tax and the budget.
Options
I have just received my vehicle tax reminder, for the vehicle tax to start on 1st April.
Now, if there are changes to the rate of vehicle tax in the budget, be it lowered or raised would i have to pay the extra, or indeed be able to claim back any reduction, if i renew now?
regards

I have taxed my vehicle on the night of the budget and got in before midnight to get it as the older/lower rate.

DVLA charges normally start the very next day and speech used to start after DVLA closed for the day at 3-30pm .
DVLA of course new in advance of the speech .0
