I received an email today saying I had won a competition from 'eat healthy club competition' from the Jan/Feb edition. I remember entering the competitions on this site. But the email says to call them on a number so they can gather all the information they need to send the prize out to me. Is this normal? Dont want to fall for a scam. i always assumed they'd call me or communicate through email. I'm new to this so need advice. Thanks and hope everyone's having a lucky month X

It sounds genuine from what you have said. maybe google the telephone number, see if you can get a little more information?

The only way you will find out for sure is to call them after as mentioned above googling the number to confirm it is from the promoter. Just be sure when you do call you don't give them anything apart from your address for the prize to be sent too and again as above that you don't pay anything . I'm sure it's fine and that you are a winner so congrats.0

Yeah call them up and see what's going on. If they ask for any payment details or anything then shut it down. Don't give them any more information that you would have put in into a comp form (Such as address etc).0
