ASKMID On-Line service down

I have been trying to access the Motor Insurers Database through the ASKMID service provided by MIB since last night and it seems to be unavailable. Anyone ?

There is a message on their site saying there is currently a problem and thanking you for being patient!

I hadn't seen the message, so, earlier today, I notified MIB of the loss of service by E-Mail through their website.




Lets hope they are more switched-on than the DEFACTO rated insurance company I've been dealing with (AA), which is the main reason I have need to access the ASKMID service. I have a missing certificate of Insurance for this year's renewal (Term start's today) in my on-line account with them, despite telephone renewal of the policy, for a second year, in mid-February and the money being taken a week later. In February I had to make a big fuss before I was issued with a Certificate Of Insurance (As an E-mail attachment). However, the way this was done and all the excuses that were proferred didn't fill me with confidence. Hence my need to check with AskMid. For all I know some unscrupulous salesman could just be trying to manipulate the distance selling regulations.

Message stating not working but is actually working for own reg check.

Used it this morning for a couple of searches, but this was as a subscriber for commercial use - if that makes any difference
