Help me select a boiler

A few days ago when I ran hot water my radiators were heating up. Classic diverter failure (I think). Anyway, arrived home last night to a non operating boiler. Its a Ravenheat LS100 and is a pile of doo doo. I'm not spending a penny on it. It's so inefficient and flow rate is grim.
So, need a new boiler. I want a good quality one that isn't going to break down. I want a (minimum) 7 year parts and labour warranty and I need a controller that I can control from my phone which is nothing complicated these days. Decent flow rate of 13-14 whatever.
I need to act fast here obviously. Plumber on standby to install next week. He suggests Worcester, Baxi or Vaillant. Internet research reveals Worcester as top dog. In my last house I had a Vaillant which I bought new and I had a bout 6 diverter valves over 14 years. I suspect there was crap in the pipes causing it to keep breaking down but nevertheless it has warped my view. I've also read reports on tinternet about leaking baxi's.
At the moment I'm thinking Worcester 34cdi classic with a wave controller. Seems pretty straightforward range. Can't find info about warranty though.
Other choice is Baxi ecoblue advance combi 33. Flow rate of 13.5 whatevers. Don't understand how wireless controllers work on this though.
Plumber is charging £350 ish to install.
Appreciate any advice.

We went for the worcester 38 cdi and the flow rate is incredible for hot water, our new shower is amazing and the kitchen sink fills in no time.
We had it fitted by a WB approved installer which gave us a seven year warranty, also got the Wave installed which added a further year to the warranty. Decided to add on the WB version of a magnatec filter with the bonus of another years warranty, and a £40 payment gave us yet another years warranty bringing the total to 10 years.
I know it can be difficult to find warranty information so I hope the above is helpful, from my research to get the best warranty you have to use an approved installer for the boiler you pick.0 -
On other threads I have been recommended Intergas, Atag, Vissmann (not the 050) or Baxi. Worcester get some pretty bad reviews...they are not what they once were sadly.0

Hmm, I live on my own so probably don't need the 38. the Worcester 34 cdi classic will probably be fine.
Don't know what a 'WB Approved Installer' is. My plumber is a friend (football teammate) who is obviously corgi registered and installs boilers every day.0 -

I too read a lot of these bad reviews when I researched what boiler to buy and the more I read them the less they made sense.
A lot of the reviews were from engineers/fitters who were saying they had to fix a relatively new WB boiler and it was rubbish/unrepairable etc. etc. BUT what confused me was what they were doing even looking at these boilers in the first place?? WB cover their own warranty repairs with their own repair guys, so why were these other engineers even looking at newish WB boilers? All seemed very odd to me.
Edit:
Just found this https://www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/about/news/extended-seven-year-guarantee-now-available might be of interest to you.0 -
We got a Baxi Platinum HE. The 10 year warranty swung it for me.0

I think he needs to update to Gas Safe then.0 -
in this order:
Valiant
WB,
Intergas
All come with 7 year warranties, a boiler is only good as its installation, ie power flushing, chemicals treatment, magnafilter.
Other makes also come with 10 year warranties like baxi.
Valiants have plastic divertervalves hence prone to failures but easy to replace.0 -
Intergas, Atag, BaxiI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Hey SouthCoast, did you get my PM?0
