Hi was wondering if anyone who has ever taken out COMETs insurance on their TV has ever claimed on it?
Does anyone know the process? Do they come out and check it or ask for photos
For example I have an old style big 28" TV, which at the time was worth around £300. now its not worth much and comet dont have it on their system, although they do have similar models.
Will they offer me vouchers for the original price, or the similar TV?
If it "accidentally" smashes on the floor, just wondered how long i need to keep it and will they come and check it ?
Thanks

I don't know the ins and outs of the policy, but if the policy is like most insurance policies, it will cover for a like for like replacement (not the original value).
And they may well want to appoint someone to inspect the tv, so don't dispose of it until you are given permission too.
P.S - The "accidentally" concerns me. I just hope you aren't referring to fraudulent activities.0 -
Of course she is. Its classicaly fraudulent behaviour- hedging her bets before deciding whether the payout outweighs the risk.0
