How many RBS Accounts

I've successfully opened 1 in my name, one in hubby's name and a joint account. I can't find it in RBS terms and conditions but read on MSE that 3 accounts are allowed. Can anyone confirm that I can in fact have 3 in my name, 3 in oh's name and one joint?

Thanks

Are we talking about RBS, RBOS, or BOS?
  • I've looked at the paperwork.

Bank of Scotland select account with Vantage.

I didn't realise there were actually 3 different banks with such similar names. This one is a Lloyds subsidiary as I can see it on my Halifax online banking site.

    Sorry for the confusion

Depending on your reply to the above, the answer is either a) at least 7, or b) no. :D

    EDIT: It's b), no then.

The Vantage T&Cs extend to just 2 pages. Your answer may be found on page 1 (column 2, 2nd paragraph)...

If you were looking for room for £30K eventually, the joint account was a bad move.
  • So .... at the risk of getting another 1 word answer Yorkshire boy........ I could then open another one in my name and another one in oh's name if BOS will let me making 2 each in our respective names and one joint?

I actually only filled the online stuff in today to make the second one in my name into a joint account. Didn't realise we could have 3 each but hey ho, 2 each and 1 joint would do fine.

You'd then have 3 each which, if you've checked the T&Cs, you'll see is the max allowed. One word answer = yes. ;)
  • Another one word answer for you, Thanksverymuch.
