Business bank account with poor personal finances?

Hi, I registered a company with companies house and would like to trade at some point. It's more of a "consultancy" so there's no cost, except my own time to waste and petrol to burn.

I also happen to be unemployed, in arrears and have used up the vast majority of my credit limits already for everyday living.

Will applying for a business account depend on your personal credit score and if it is rejected, dent your personal credit score? I can't afford to take the risk if there is that chance, because if the banks call in my overdrafts / credit card I would be immediately bankrupt.

PS, I don't want or need a business overdraft or any business credit facilities.

Also, as far as I know, it's not illegal to use a personal bank account for business as long as it's marked out to an accountant?

I understand that if Natwest decline you for a Business bank account, they will usually offer you their Foundation account, a type of basic business account
