I travelled from Dublin (well I live near there so...) on Aer Lingus, return, + six nights in a great little boutique hotel on E40th St. The Seton, not MGM grand, but spotless and so convenient. The whole trip cost €1040. Yes that is Euro.
Just get a premium room ensuite as we did. There are very inexpensive rooms where you share the facilities. Not for me though! But a lovely little place altogether. Would go back no problem. Ideal location, after all you really only sleep and shower in a hotel in NY!

That was in early November, and the weather was just amazing too, a bonus.
Flights from Dublin are great value and the great thing is, you do the immigration in Dublin too, so when you get off the plane, you just pick up your bags from the belt and go straight outside the terminal for a taxi/pickup whatever.0 -
Thomas cook now fly direct out of Manchester the charter flights have been coming in really reasonable. If you book as a package with a tour operator you can pay a deposit only.0
