Hi,
I'm trying to find a cheap flatpack kitchen for a friend, can anyone recommend any suppliers - I've found a few online through google but having heard some horror stories in the past its hard to gauge who is who ?
Thanks
Stuart

I would steer clear of B&Q. We had a wonderful kitchen from them ~8 years ago from their budget range which we assembled ourselves, but earlier this year I had the misfortune of putting together some of their latest units and found the quality to be extremely poor - their "screwless" cam dowels especially are completely useless and for the larger units, in my opinion, make them unsafe. Their customer service also sucks - I compiled a big list of issues to feed back to them which I emailed and got no response to, and when we called further down the line to give them the same feedback they were more interested in repeatedly telling us that we couldn't get a refund (we never asked for one!) than actually taking down our feedback for their kitchens team and suppliers.
I wish we'd have paid a fair price and gone to a proper kitchen manufacturer. The one my parents used made custom units to fit awkward spaces allowing them to make the best use of their oddly shaped kitchen and it really wasn't that much more than going to the DIY sheds. They even fitted it for a very fair price.0 -

We have an Ikea kitchen. It cost us less than £2k for a medium sized kitchen and a butchers block work surface. It comes with a pretty good guarantee as well.0

I've had 2 from Wickes - not top notch but went together ok, no bits missing and look fine. Constant different sales on for different ranges so you need to get your timing right!0
