He is only 14 and worked so hard to raise the money to go and has had an amazing experience
Nan is so so , we have good days and bad , I'm okay thanks bubbs x
Hope all is well with you and yours, hope your sister manages to start eating properly soon x
Have been lurking and reading the posts about carers and caring with interest and after lengthy discussions we have decided that when nan comes out of hospital I will give up my job to look after her, although I look after her now this just means she will have me more, just going to have to make some serious cutbacks x
MKS I am so sorry to hear what happened at the hospital with your dad , I can't even begin to imagine how you felt
ILTS, please make sure you get all the support that you can as well as the carers allowance etc. Occupational therapy are usually quite good for support. Your nan is very lucky to have you :A equally it sounds like she gave you a lot of herself in years gone by.
It wasn't a good time, especially explaining to my (albeit grown up) children and young grandchildren that Grandad/great Grandad had died. Had all the emotional stuff to deal with whilst feeling bereft myself. Was like winning the lottery when the hospital phoned to say that they had made a mistake. It was still emotionally draining.0 -
Northerngeezer, see those replies
and none of them were offended were they. So, less of that eh, just pop in and say good morning or good night , you are after all one of the Elite, so pull yer finger out and let's see you in here a little more often
X
