It's a sad world we live in when she's considered fat. What is wrong with people and all the body shaming that goes on nowadays? Just wrong :o

Might be time to try the sleep technique... Say good night after your usual routine. If she shouts you ignore it, if she comes down stairs tell her it's bed time and take her back to bed. If she gets out again take her back but don't respond. Repeat until she gets bored of being taken back to bed.
I've done this... Not easy my dd was younger and couldn't physically get out of the room and i spent many a night on the top step in tears wanting to go into her but we got there. Eventually she learnt that it was bed time and she wouldn't get anywhere by screaming.

    Good luck
I learnt the hard way! Night after night lying on my sons bedroom floor, him wide awake, but going ballistic if we tried to leave the room ! Then spent 3 nights sitting on stairs crying my eyes out whilst he screamed and shouted ! 4th night, story as usual, 'night night' , his response 'night night':eek:. He still didn't go to sleep and was often awake hours later, but stayed in bed !

I did sort of do that tonight actually, I carried her back up the stairs 6 times, which was no mean feat with my dodgy shoulder lol, and put her into bed and never spoke to her once. Think I'll persevere with that as well if needs be as getting into a discussion or argument with them gets you no where!

Just wanted to say on the subject of carers being a council carer for 15 years there are two sides to every story ......Things have changed dramatically since I did this very rewarding job as so many more eldertly and infirm to take care of ..cuts in budgets and lots more factors to consider ....I was given time slots for each patient but more often than not stayed longer than allowed as unforseen things would occur and I would stay as long as was necessary to sort it ...hence doing longer hours than I was supposed to and not getting overtime .Saying this I always tried to put myself in the patients position and think maybe one day I might need the same sort of help .
Apologise for the soapbox post ..but something I have always felt strongly about ..

    Your completely right.
Im a community nurse, have seen amazing carers who go out of their way even if they dont have enough time.
Some thou are alot to be desired. The whole caboodle is messed up, i saw alot of cases of carers turning up and acting as in the program. i could only watch 10mins as it made me so upset.

They are being paid low wages, some no expenses, too many calls or with 15mins to do an hours work, little or no monitoring especially by a more knowledgeable manager or case worker.

My soapbox moment is over !

    She looks fabulous

I bet she doesn't have to run around the shower to get wet unlike the Posh and Cheryls of this world

Sad that girls are given the unrealistic bodies of the super thin

Ethiopian look a likes of our "stars" to emulate

I know, it's something that really gets me  especially with all the social media nowadays as well and the younger generation seeing that as being portrayed as 'fat' :( and something that does worry me having a daughter, not so much now as she's only 6 but as she grows up. It's a completely different world now, even from when I was growing up,but it's really quite scary the impact that it can have.
