YIKES!! I was physically assaulted in Ts this morning:eek:.

Our two nearest Ts have not stocked the Jiggy pies so last night when OH said that he needed to collect something from argos I volunteered for the job :A(I knew that there was another T nearby).

I wasn't expecting to find any Jiggy pies so was delighted when lo and behold, there were 8 of them winking at me from the top shelf of the cold cabinet. I decided that I wanted 6 but hadn't quite worked out the logistics of buying :o them. Anyway I thought that leaving them on the shelf was not a good idea and I had 5 in my basket when I heard a loud voice behind me saying to someone else "there they are, there they are". As I reach up for my 6th and last pie I am shoulder barged out of the way, in a manner that would have made a Six Nations Rugby Coach proud, whilst simultaneously being screamed at "leave some for someone else". I managed to steady myself and turn around to find a woman holding the last two Jiggy pies and screaming at me " I know what you're doing! I know what you're doing! it was on the TV this morning. Why have you snatched all the pies" I just stood there open mouthed, Jiggy pie in hand. (picture Ernie, Ted and Trigger if you will:rotfl:)

Well all this had been witnessed by the store manager or department manager (anyway he was suited and booted  ) who apologised to me and told raving women that I had been there first. The man that had accompanied raving women had quietly walked away, no doubt never to go shopping with her again. Raving women started to calm down and asked him if there were any more out the back. He asked me if I wanted any more and apologised again. I said that it wasn't necessary for him to apologise for someone else's behaviour. Raving loony turned to me and said "Don't worry if there are any more we'll both be able to fill our boots". I just turned and walked away.

I didn't go too far and Manager came back empty handed. I now had the problem of how to hide my Jiggys whilst paying for them one at a time. I didn't want raving loony finding my trolley and nicking them:eek:. I wandered around the store a little finding other items to go with the Pies and ended up putting clothes on top of them, thus hiding the contents of my trolley from any likely marauders.

Anyway, in and out of the store 5 more times and all's well that ends well. I'm just so glad that it wasn't my local T. So much for trying to keep a low profile:rotfl:

Doesn't excuse what that woman did. Never any reason to assault anyone in store (or anywhere else).
You got them however and she didn't. I bet she is more upset now than you are:T.

I suspect, if it's been on the TV, they will know about it at the store already. It isn't a glitch to be fixed but legitimate use of coupons. If they want to give you free pies on a promotion like this, then it's either their fault for their own promotion mechanic that they should have thought through before rolling it out, but we hope they don't, or otherwise they are happy with the all pies being bought by coupons:T. Meanwhile, another trick up my sleeve at A - two bananas per shop (one weighed on the scales and one on the machine) - counts as at least 8 different items even though it isn't really. (Unless, like the system, you count a weighed banana on the scale and a weighed banana on the machine as different items. Also two different carrots. Even though they look like the same type of loose carrots to me:rotfl:. Two, obviously different:D, sprouts and that's six different items - plus the Fillets and Nuggets and you're done. It seems. Just hoping my loose carrots appear - trouble is, if any of these loose items ever drop off the system, then two items will not be counted, if you've done them separately, rather than just losing one.)

I now use Ms in other places to allow me to pricecheck items at the till - just saves me from bothering the same staff in the same few stores everytime and then starting to get suspicious, wonder why I never buy anything, and helps me stay undercover:D.

Pies wink do they? A bit like, in reverse, the opposite thing, those more expensive apples barging out from the shelf at me and then me rejecting them:D. I suppose we all have imaginations:rotfl::T. Quorn fillets might wink at the moment, in certain stores;):rotfl::rotfl:. That's if I can see the wink:o:o. Of course I can! They're little winkers. A lot of winking going on at the moment. Too much winking:D.

    :rotfl:

If I go for pies, it had better be off-peak... the only T that has them round here is 6 miles away and according to DD is renowned for the fracas at reduction time... goodness knows what will happen with a TV-advertised freebie... :rotfl:

Lucky the manager was there, Sal. x

Steak are abundant but several of my brood find them too strong, what with the stilton punch. :(

I am pleased to announce my first grandchild arrived last night.
A little girl weighing 8lb 6oz. Mother and baby doing well and I think my son has stopped crying now. Although she was in labour at home for 24 hours she only spent 3 hours in hospital and they are leaving to go home in a couple of hours. And she has my name as her second name!!

Wish I could afford to give up work to help and with my daughter's that is due in 16 weeks. But unfortunately I am one of the women born in 1954 who wont retire until 65.5!!

After Martin shouting from the roof tops not a pie to be seen:(..i did not want them for myself as back on healthy eating after gain of 4 pounds on holiday ...and thought they would be appreciated by my DS he do love a pie :T
Congratulations Rose on the Birth of your:A Grandaughter :Aand how lovely they are giving her your name :)

    Hi Everyone :)

Well our new Waitys opened today- apparently its one of the largest in the country. And its less than a half a mile from DD2's school :D

It was heaving and I didn't have much time so left with just a bag of sugar and a free hessian bag.

Can anyone tell me the best deals in Waitys at the moment please? I have never selected any offers on my card as not that close to a store before :)
