They're still buying these on a bit expensive mbuy again? Told you they're not innovative - no spark of originality or unique thought at all - when will they ever buy any of the "obscure" items on my earlier list?!? (I'm assuming it's a womble:rotfl: - it could be your shop, in which case :T.)

In my view, the own brand squashes ought to be obscure:rotfl:.

Ok - cue me to find a voucher now, expiring on 27th March that I haven't spent! I haven't found any though - I looked a few times earlier and, as far as I know, I haven't got any - I thought, I hope, I spent them earlier? That was my 'mistake' in claiming on 28th February, because I didn't want to risk the system being on, or no on, a new month on the 29th and not completely sure as to which month 29th would be counted in (although it should be February). As I claimed on 28th February, I got the expiry date on 27th March on quite a few which I didn't click that early would be the Easter Sunday when I couldn't spend use anything - so, effectively, expiry date for me was 26th March - though I think I got rid of the last one with the 27th March expiry last week.

I still haven't got to the 'wines list' vs M - I'm just procrastinating on it - or alternatively, I'm just relaxing at my leisure:cool::T - I don't have to do anything at all really:rotfl: - I might idly go through them tomorrow when, prices may change in the week and :doh:the information, from last week, will be too late! Never mind:rotfl:. I have an enforced day off tomorrow, which, in recent years, has been nice and provides a break/is welcome:D.

    Thanks for the butter squiglet.:D

I put 6 crime eggs in with my shop and they didn't compare v M.....they did everywhere else but n/a v M

Picked up a few wombles today some with 3 eggs but not enough items. Some with 3 creations eggs giving back £1 and everyone buying potatoes:o a shame for such a windy day:o

On what you're saying, they missed them on the Wednesday collection. I think we are definitely on the Wednesday now but, they simply missed them. I thought this would be a risk vs M - we can't rely on M data being static even if no pricing change in M and, in that area, a comp. vs elsewhere, taken from online, where pricing has remained unchanged, would appear to me to be 'safer'. So, if asked, I would have said avoid M and target everywhere else until known whether or not M was being picked up after an update. Shopping on Thursday onwards would 'risk' the new comparison - or, it seems, lack of:(. The thing is, with mbuy labelling going off and on randomly in various Ms at different points on different things, just at random and depending on what got missed/randomly taken away in that store, the M comp. might have picked up full price M (missing M mbuy) rather than going totally N/A. I'd have thought full price was more of a risk. However - and tbh I don't always notice small chocs and sweets, things like Creme Eggs, everytime I am in M - even though they are there - I forgot to look on Monday:o:rotfl:, though I knew they were unchanged, but saw them on Tuesday (irrelevantly) and on Wednesday in one store (probably irrelevantly too, as my own view doesn't matter but what the price collectors get/don't) - I just passed them and happened to notice they were on the 3 for £1 price label. Sometimes I have items on my carryovers to look at the next store, then I go there, find the items and still forget to check one item!:(:rotfl: I invariably remember on the way home. It happens occasionally - memory like a sieve sometimes:rotfl::rotfl: - or, more to the point, I wasn't thinking about it at the time and then it comes to mind later. Like the time I thought I'd left some keys at home and went to retrieve them - in fact they were in one of my pockets all the time but I get on the bus to go back home, get my return ticket cancelled... and when should I find them? When the bus doors close and it starts reversing off the bus station concourse:(. Typical! (I had to come all the way back.) That was years ago - now, I recall things the moment I leave the M car park, I'm on the one way system:mad::rotfl: and either not worth travelling back or it will add 20 minutes onto everything and then I would hit rush hour so I just have to leave it. And pretend:rotfl::rotfl:.

Anyway - back to the point:rotfl:  - I think the price collectors are a little like me - and these things, such as small chocs and sweets, they don't always pick up every product every time on every visit. It's the kind of thing that might get omitted on one collection even if they were looked at on the previous one. I can't imagine they didn't have an M with the creme eggs in - although it's also possible the stock may have physically changed in place in the M and maybe they didn't go to it. And what, separately, about stock of products only found on an aisle end? The Baylis & Harding set, for me, was on the aisle end only of one store I saw. They don't appear to check aisle end prices (end aisle stock or end aisle freezers) but go by prices in the main runs of aisles - but what if items are in a store and only on an aisle end?

I thought so:D. Makes my post* more valid now:rotfl:. Those items are only "obscure" I suppose in some stores or their stock only in some stores - but some people might buy these (presumably some of them less popular, less often bought) products and, for some people, those that buy them, they might well be regularly something they buy and not obscure at all.

*(the first third or so anyway)

Definitely the F word derivative:rotfl:. Just something that has come onto TV. They bleep stuff nowadays on TV, presumably because people previously have complained:(, and now cover the entire word up so that's it's more 'effective' and you can't hear/tell what was being said. However, on at two occasions here, despite this, due to the context of the surrounding words in the sentence, it is obvious what words it was. Unfortunately, I can't tell on the lots of other cases, what the word was, and it just opens the possibilities up:(. I'd rather know one specific word than be working through a whole list of possibilities in my head later! However, I have not thought of it and am moving on. I could spend hours wondering which word had been said at the end - an "ugly looking" [complete bleep sound:(] - just too many possibilities - I've now thought of three separate words instead, far beyond the original single one that was said in the first place and which I just wish I knew. They blur over the mouth at the time nowadays - the spoilsports:(:rotfl:.

(As to the two 'F-word'-derivatives use, it's like printing seven complete asterisks. Totally ineffective and you still know what was meant:rotfl:. It won't do - they need to bleep it/cover it up even more:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::p:rotfl:. Might as well stop watching TV as I find it more "offensive" than real life:rotfl:. Offensive trying to stop things coming into this house:rotfl::rotfl:.)

Alright, little diversion...;) (We can't save money, most of us, tomorrow at any of the stores anyway as they're not open, so no point posting money-saving at this time:cool::rotfl:!)

(It was about "online abuse" - and one of the guys said that the thing that upset their group was when someone messaged them saying they hoped they'd fall and die - which was upsetting since they took part in extreme sports - yet I note the broadcaster didn't see the need to bleep the quotation of that upsetting comment out. (And :doh:neither have I here.) Or on all but two occasions did bleeping actually bleep it out - as far as I'm concerned, it's "in" not "out" if I still know the word.)

Please everyone remember the real reason for Easter isn't just about chocolate:) it's also about teaching children to share and not be greedy:A:A

I'm afraid that seems to have been overtaken by actual actions for so many years that the 'true' meaning now ceases to be it:rotfl:. Or maybe it doesn't apply to adults but only to children:rotfl::cool::rotfl::rotfl:.

As to my creme/crime/grime eggs, I will have no problem using them all:):(. I made the mistake(?) of revealing, a few days to go to Easter, where they were - and let them have one. I've had one (or two) since. I came back yesterday and noticed - :eek:four more of them gone!:( (They only ever consume in multiples:(:(.) I've had another one since. So, now down to about half of what I bought:(:(. Two beer glasses full, now down to one:(. Already:eek:!:p They were due to last at least a week after the event! Now, I doubt they'll last half that time. I should have bought way way more than what I did (:( as definitely not MSE - so maybe I did right). But never mind - at least we still have half of the twenty:eek: creme eggs that I bought in the first place! Meanwhile two Smarties packs out of four, that I bought, at full price £1 offer:eek:, to replace a tube of 50p that they scoffed entirely, months before it was due, have now themselves been consumed despite me telling them not to take from the box that is in the future. Use the April box first:(! I was fuming:mad: - they don't take just one tube, but two!:eek::(:(

Easter (and Christmas) are not about Christianity and sharing - they are commercialised festivals of overconsumption:(. Just a truth sorry - I know some people will find it wrong and even offensive to say (and especially more if it is true (or has at least some ring of truth)). But, in practice, by action, for most people, they really are. Sorry to speak the truth:(:eek::rotfl:. At least we remember what (should be?) the true meaning though:). As in "should be", it's not true so we shouldn't pretend it is!:rotfl: Hopefully, I've confused everyone enough for no-one to know what I'm talking about now:rotfl:, so that no-one will risk being offended:cool::rotfl::rotfl:. (Sorry however if I have...)

Of course, I'm not saying it is good or bad for them to be "commercialised festivals of overconsumption" if that is what they are. As you know, as a detached Aspie, I have no view on such a matter. (Why would I?!?;)) And I mean "detached" in that I am (or am trying, or pretending:D to be) standing back from things and looking at them from that position, I do not mean "detached" as in shut off or keeping myself away from others. (Besides, if I was doing that, I would not be posting it on here - which is actually putting it with other people:cool: rather than keeping it away.)
