    I am off out soon.

I know this will make a few people very happy but I am seriously considering putting this thread on probation for a while, not sure if I want to stay somewhere where people have lost sight of what is important in life.

The primary purpose of this thread is chat and support, it is a glitch thread too, but there is a reason why it is kept in gone but not forgotten, and it is not one of greed.

I need some advice and its not about glitches or Tesco toys.

I work as a self employed bookkeeper in a small van hire/garage business. I work 21 hours a week and in addition to admin and bookkeeping I answer the phone and take messages when my boss and the other chap are on the phone or out on a call.
People often call for a basic one day hire price and I have a chart written out with the prices but if people ask for a weekend/week hire rate I am unable to do it as the chart does not show the correct price ( something to do with VAT). So for anything over a days hire I take a number and say they will get a call back. Also they have always made a big fuss about me using the hire software as they think I'll break it. Although recently they have allowed me to when they were out and it was the only way a hire could happen. My boss however was not at all worried about me using the Sage bookkeeping software even though I had no previous knowledge of it and I just had a crib sheet a previous employee had written.
When I joined 2 years ago the lady in my position previously had left suddenly and the books were in complete disarray and its only the last couple of months that with the help of the accountant I can see the end of the tunnel. I really like my job as the hours are flexible, work enjoyable and its close to home.

But yesterday something happened and I now don't know if i can stay. Earlier in the week a lady rang and obviously spoke to my boss trying to arrange an urgent MOT for her daughter She called the next day to give her reg and phone number and asked me how much a MOT was. Now i do the invoicing so I know what we charge £49.00 without VAT but I said I was not sure but I thought about £50.00. Girl came in car passed MOT and when she came to collect it he charged her £49.00 for MOT AND £42.50 being one hours labour for checking lights and levels ( which I don't believe was done ) for basically driving it 50 yards to the MOT station. She came and got car and paid and that evening her boyfriend started sending my boss threatening emails from his work email ( a local solicitor) which unfortunately turned nasty as the boss of that firm is my bosses soicitor.

So boss came into my office to tell me this and asked if I had given her a price and I told him I had given her an approximate price. He then said " In the nicest possible way you are a nosey parker, this is my business not yours and you need to just do your job and keep out of things that don't concern you" I then said I usually only give one day hire prices and nothing else and it was a mistake. Luckily I was on half day as I was going away for 2 days work with my sister but I was so upset when I got home that I cancelled the work and am at home.

I text my boss later and said I need to talk to him today. Firstly now having got the books straight I was looking to up my hourly rate as I started on a lower rate two years ago as I was inexperienced with the software. Yes I made a mistake but I am really upset about what he said to me about being a nosey parker. For the rest of the morning I just took long messages and put them on his desk when there was at least one I could have helped with as one was regarding monies owed by a creditor but I even put that on his desk.

I am really tempted to just walk away and start again. I admit that I shouldnt have given her a price as such but its the personal remark I cant stomach.Sorry for such a long winded post just looking for advice

Reminder that N3ctar double up starts in S on Wednesday.

When it says limited to £40, is there a way round this please against a single item purchase - am I allowed to get multiple £40 vouchers or me and Mrs Anon club together with 2? Considering the best use of my many N3ctar and could go for a big ticket purchase, but little point for £40 off as that will only make a small dint in the price and would then be cheaper buying elsewhere.

    Many thanks

    Morning gang
not been sleeping well since the bullying and really should take action but just want to get easter over with and our little party then I wll defo do something, although I think it may well backfire.
My only hope at present is that there is a lot of talk of restructure so keep everything crossed for me
Thanks to SFSB for the stash pic, it makes me smile as I'm sure if lots of us had the nerve and the cash we would probably do something on those lines, although I find boot sales v tiring and haven't mastered fleabay yet ....ah.one day (it could even mean the end of having to work with the bully ?? )!!
Have a great day and let me know if there are any glitches to test in A as will be there later if I can find my mojo xxxxxxx

Please don't feel like that, we don't know each others REAL situation and we should take it all with a pinch of salt...for all you know that pic could have been taken in a store or warehouse so cyber life should be viewed cautiously as it is not always what it seems.
I have really appreciated your concern for me over the past weeks and would really miss your contributions.
You could do what I do and rarely look at the night shift, it's where it tends to go a bit pear shaped. Just skip to about 7am and all will be rosy again xxxxxx

So all had been fine in the playground, oh gosh a stash picture was posted on a thread about glitches amongst other topics and the Tesco toys are thrown out the pram again.

Once again a few on here that just ruin it for the majority buy not being able to comment about a stash picture. If it's cheap meat going in a freezer of course that wouldn't help the poor starving children. I also looked this morning and there wasn't a starving child on my doorstep.

personally i dont call that a stash pic its a order/part order pic.for me a stash is something that is grown through various deals.i thought the owner had said it was going in his warehouse.if companies dont set a maxium order level they leave themselves open to this.:)
