I have just ordered another base unit for the kitchen in my new house as decided I will not be having a dishwasher £180 plus vat and same again for fitting. Needless to say I will be fitting it myself then look for shelves for about the fridge freezer as definitely not paying out for a unit there.
An extra unit will be far more useful to me than a dishwasher so money well spent.

Thanks VT, this larder unit is going to be my domain though.
This will be the dry food cupboard which I am in charge of buying.
I didn't actually show in any of my pics where Mr TS's new larder is going, it will be a self contained tiny cold room. He managed to get some wire baskets from a skip which he is going to utilise for fruit and veg storage. He reckons by the time the room is finished and he has vented it properly we won't need a fridge. I'm not convinced though.
Sometimes it's hard living with someone so ecological. As you might guess we are opposites, although he does say I am hunter gatherer when I come back with loads of whoopsies from the supermarket.

Well electrician came and started to work and then shut up shop.
Apparently we have the wrong size old thin wiring for our sockets so the whole ring for the kitchen will need to be taken out. So he has to give new quote to builder.
Might not have helped we suddenly realised we would need electric cooker point put in too as the new oven I want has dual fuel, one gas and one electric oven.
And also asked if we could have the electrics for the boiler tidied up to as they travel across the whole room from where the old boiler was seems stupid not to really. Guess I put a few spanners in the work.
We usually use our own electrician, did for bathroom, but he lives in spain now and only comes over to do work so didn't know how it would fit in around the building work so thought it best managed by the builder this time. Good job our plumber is a friend to keep the costs down.0 -
Ok i have been trawling through the previous posts re asda eggs can someone patient enough s l o w l y talk me through the whole glitch process. I would be most grateful as i resent paying so much for eggs. Thanks in advance xx
2. Go to ASDA.
3. Buy shop.
4. Wait 2 hours, claim APG.
The glitch works because 3 for £10 is not showing on the APG (Asda Price Guarantee) so it compares full price (£5) to Sainsbury's price of £3, giving you £2 back per egg plus 10% (30p).
Returning £6.90 on 3 eggs, you paid £10 instore = 3 eggs for £3.10
Example shop:
Egg 1
Egg 2
Egg 3
Banana
Red Onion
Brown Onion
Carrot
Parsnip
10p Sweet
You need a minimum of 8 different items to use the APG.
If you're going to buy other things rather than generic fruit & veg or 10p sweets as your remaining items (known as fillers) then you need to check the price Sainsbury's are selling it for, or you may lose money from your comparison if Sainsbury's is more expensive.Bitcoin. If you haven't heard of it, you have now.0 -
