dh had the camera up his nose when he went about a lump in his neck two years ago  his was ok. I didn't want to tell you at the time how eye watering an experience the camera thing can be  made dh wretch
Pleased that dh is doing fine, chances are no more growth in 6 months for himAJ now that is just mean.:rotfl:
I'm relieved how far we have got without a hitch, hope the ceiling doesn't collapse overnight and we find ourselves in bed in the kitchen though.
They have reassured us that we definitely don't need the support that we thought we would and in fact they don't think the other half of the wall would have taken it anyway so someone is on my side. :A
Such major work is highly stressful TS, I take my hat off to you that you are coping so well :T great that you don't need the additional support, like you say, someone is on your side X
Love the empty kitchen pic, you won't even know yourself in a 'new' room :rotfl: can't wait to see the after pic. There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Some of my tesco orders have been sent
thank you to the op

Are you keeping larder TS?
Yes and we are having another one built. And a freestanding one delivered.
That one is on wrong side of house and gets bit warm in summer so have had stone step and shelf taken out and it will become my pots and pans cupboard.Which means we won't need any units on any of the walls in the kitchen.
And I should be able to push my hoover in it out of the way too without the stone step. :T
The new larder will be more of a tiny cold room and will be behind the part of the wall that isn't being taken down. That bit used to be the downstairs toilet before we moved in and the guy before us took the wall down and made it part of the kitchen and we are putting it up again.Although a bit further back than where it was. It will shut out the light a bit that end as window will be in it but we are replacing the back door with a fully glazed door to let more light in.
Trouble is storing all the garden produce in the old garage we got mice and lost all our apples and in the new one it gets too cold and then hot so it's not ideal, we tried it this year and we had loads go off before they should have.I didn't really want another larder built to lose the space but I have compromised with Mr TS he wants to be able to store more of what we grow and normal kitchen units wouldn't work. It's his dream and I got my bath so give and take.

Morning all - still very cold outside, all 3 cats are inside but one is def going out soon.
2 problems this morning
Treacle is an incredibley stinky cat, sure its getting worse - I think its internal coming from his mouth and innards but he does not leave a smell on your clothes or hands.
Any suggestions please - Febreezing is not allowed although I have resorted to it beforehand in exasperation
I thought it might get better now they are outside a few hours a day.
He has his check up in October. I did wonder about getting his mouth checked out by the vet but its a major thing for cats to have teeth scrapped. I don't think its a dental problem
more like really bad halitosis
He is such a loving cat, wants to be snuggled up to you as soon as you flop on the sofa, he is nestled up on my arm now and at the desk he insists on sitting on my lap while I try to type even though it means he gets side swiped every few seconds
But the smell is atrocious
Evening, one of our cats started to be really smelly and we couldn't work out where it was coming from, it turned out she had a claw that had curled into the pad on her foot, vet was amazed that she wasn't complaining and walking normally on it, anyway he pulled it out and the smell was enough to make you gag but a quick course of antibiotics and she was as good as new again. Probably not the same as your cat but maybe worth checking, anything is possible.0 -

Had a wobbly this morning AJ, the plumber had forgotten that he usually has to drain our tank down to stop the hot water as the stop !!!! for it is inaccessible in the loft due to my "shed" up there. The room I have mentioned before that the guy before us built as a dark room.
Anyway Mr TS asked me to empty the airing cupboard for plumber to get to and I assumed he was wanting the pipes at the bottom where there were connections. Bloomin plumber didn't believe me and rifled through my piles of towels putting his hands between them feeling the pipes at the back for a stop c o c k. I told him that there wasn't one it was all just straight runs of pipes in to the roof. I felt violated.I had to have all of them out and re do the pile my OCD to blame.

I agree to a certain extent, I have most of the clowns on ignore so only see their bile when it unfortunately gets quoted and don't respond when I do see it.
If they continue in the same vein I believe this thread will be closed within a week but I guess that is what they want.
