Morning all - its very bright and shiny outside which probably means its perishing cold

we have a selection of various crisis this week but mostly its all out of my hands and nothing I can add to the proceedings.

also its OHs birthday next weekend. In theory I already have some presents - military books I've been stashing. I've also got Bella Italia vouchers so in theory I could take him to eat out. in previous years I've put together a midweek break - actually to be taken a few weeks later - maybe if I trawl through Deal Zippy some inspiration will hit me ...

I did have a quick look at Accorhotel this morning but I could not think of an exciting direction to go in ...

Anyone on Sky and out of contract, make sure you put in your notice to quit and negotiate a better deal. I looked into this over past week as there is an offer around for £25 (complete package including movies and sports channels) or £12 Family HD. One of the threads on Hukd showed some people getting the offer plus account credit up to £100 :). I tried a few times on live chat (left a few years ago for V1rgin and still have the box) to get this too.

Sadly, by the time I noticed the deal and got through the CS claimed it was not available :(. However, I did get 60% off plus £100 account credit through live chat - so Family HD for £6.07 per month equivalent :D.

Check out the various threads on HUKD to see latest achievements as offers seem to evolve:

It seems if you cancel wurithin a few hours there is in most cases automatically a 50% off deal in your account area - people have achieved 50% off plus £100 account credit (no contract extension), other 60% off and £100 credit (new 12 month contract).

I am now dropping VM for my TV and will see what deal I can achieve to keep phone and BB with them (if not, some excellent Fibre deals around through TCB and QC plus deals with suppliers). I was getting a good deal with VM but my prices have gone up by over 20% in the past year or so (£18 more now than 2 years ago - gone to over £60), which is way too much.

    Sorry for the long post.

    Hth
