Morning all - still very cold outside, all 3 cats are inside but one is def going out soon.
2 problems this morning
Treacle is an incredibley stinky cat, sure its getting worse - I think its internal coming from his mouth and innards but he does not leave a smell on your clothes or hands.
Any suggestions please - Febreezing is not allowed although I have resorted to it beforehand in exasperation
I thought it might get better now they are outside a few hours a day.
He has his check up in October. I did wonder about getting his mouth checked out by the vet but its a major thing for cats to have teeth scrapped. I don't think its a dental problem
more like really bad halitosis
He is such a loving cat, wants to be snuggled up to you as soon as you flop on the sofa, he is nestled up on my arm now and at the desk he insists on sitting on my lap while I try to type even though it means he gets side swiped every few seconds
But the smell is atrocious
hi mhoc
we had this with our male dog
took him to the vet and it was his anal glands that needed to be emptied and the breath was due to him washing them
(not a nice subject over breckie I know...sorry)
I don't know if cats get this problem though
hope this helps

Oddly Treacle does not do much washing or grooming, not as much as the others do. But a vets trip seems inevitable but I don't want to do an expensive dental clean only to find its not the problem and he still stinks - plus it involves a full anaesthetic“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. It is really worth getting treacle checked out at the vet mhoc, because it could be the onset of gingivitis. The earlier this is treated, the better it is (and probably less expensive for you in the long term)

I hope you all have a productive day and happy to see Henlans popping in to help the glitchers xxx
Dreading today as first day back at work since the trouble.....hope its quiet as still not sure what route to take.
I am sure it will make itself clear in the next day or so ...
Good luckWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Might see if I can order some toothpaste from Amazon - although putting fingers into his mouth sounds urggg
I've got cat biscuits which are supposed to be breath freshening and he does crunch these with no difference“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. 2nd problem is why won't my iPad and iPhone speak to me
I sleep with the phone under the pillow and the iPad next to me. I had Messages come through via FB messages this morning about 6.30 but no pings or vibrates and even the bank update which comes through as a text on a Monday morning never produced a ping
OH brings tea about this time or at least just before 7 so I must have been awake and I wished I'd checked them both at that time
Is there anything I need to check is switched on?
I always used to be very against taking phones to bed, not that anyone ever took any notice of me. It drives me crackers whenever we have visitors staying over - at all hours of the night phones are pinging
But when youngest son went away last summer I started taking the phone and now the iPad as well - he is 8 hours ahead so on the rate occasions we hear from him its at very odd times of the night - usually about 4 our time
Check that the volume isn't off (vibrate button at the side) or really low.
Check that night time mode isn't on. You will have a little moon symbol top right if it is.
Otherwise switch it off and on.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks for this, reading this I think its inevitable
Our vet is called Barry and 3 times he has tried to retire but he still keeps coming back and he still does 3 days a week - he is a miracle worker“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Morning
There is a glitch on toys at t direct....I've just ordered some bath bomb sets for my daughters bday party so added 6 to the basket and they are on 2 for £15 and 3 4 2 so the total ended up being £15... It doesn't seem to matter how many you add the total stays at £15 ...seems to work on all items in the 2 for 15 but if you add different items the price goes up
Hope this makes sense
