Just popping in to let anyone who uses Nescafe Azera coffee know it is half price in W's at the moment so if you have it on your picks you can get it for £2 which I think is a great price for this coffee - even better for those of you who got the 10% card.0

Sorry quoia not sure if anyone has already said but I have to disagree with you on this while it may be ok with some antibiotics there are definitely some that this isn't the case. The one I was prescribed last year for my chest infection clearly stated no alcohol while taking.
Have only managed a quick google but this article mentions some of the ones alcohol must be avoided with.
https://www.drmortons.co.uk/blog/can-i-drink-alcohol-while-taking-antibiotics/
Mr Morton gets round a bit. :rotfl:
Agree that you should always double check but for 99% of the time it really is fine.
Most people don't drink at the same time because of the reasons stated on the actual link you've provided
A survey done in a London genitourinary clinic of more than 300 patients found that 81% of people believe that alcohol will stop antibiotics working, while 71% believe that they will cause adverse reactions.
Except for a very small number of antibiotics neither of these beliefs is true.
and it continues with
There are very few antibiotics that interact significantly with alcohol to produce adverse reactions
Alcohol should be completely avoided with these antibiotics:
A list of just 5 follows.
Sadly it immediately contradicts itself with number 3, saying any reaction is VERY RARE concluding
Drinking alcohol in moderation does not normally cause a problem.
With 4 it just says don't drink beer or wine.
It's mostly fermented products that's the problem.
Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, Brandy etc. again are absolutely fine.
Indeed it's a substance TYRAMINE that you are trying to avoid....
... which is also found in
cheese, sauerkraut, yogurt, raisins, bananas, sour cream, pickled herring, liver (especially chicken liver), dried meats and sausage (including salami and pepperoni) figs, avocado, soy sauce, turkey, yeast extracts and some others.
The 5th basically says it would be less effective IF you are an ALCOHOLIC ...
.. but then again it wouldn't be prescribed to one
It should not be taken by people with liver problems
so that leaves 2, Metronidazole & tinidazole, which you should be concerned about

We try to post as early as possible Louise, so that people who can't get out in the evening can take advantage of the glitches.
With there being so many glitches today, we unfortunately couldn't test them all.:(
It would help people like yourself, if anyone does confirm a glitch, that they post the results as soon as possible and then more people are able to benefit.
Mind you, at this time of the day, I presume all the shelves will have been cleared of anything that is glitching.:(:(:(N1LDA:D0 -
