This next womble might be good too - last one of only three today (one ruled out as they bought 8 items but not 8 different). They've bought lots of £1 Easter eggs that are likely to be £1 M - lots of different ones and no more than ten of the same:D, together with SP UHT milk several times:), biscuits that might be 2 for 70p M, choc ice that should compare vs M, it doesn't look like they have bought anything too silly and just hoping that the £1.95 ice cream is the one that's £1 in M (pity they bought 2 for £3 on that).

    M list 1 of 7
I found 2 triggers for the 2 for £3 ice cream earlier.

Yeah, not 10% cheaper than M. So, it's an alright one (£1.68) - this is unusual, look - I never get good wombles from faraway As! Sadly the biscuits turn out to be Fox's that are no good, however it didn't lose everything. They even seemed to be trying to do a Morries mbuy offer:D when I saw the receipt - four Mr A slices (bakes) that might have been 4 for £3 in M. Unfortunately the Cheese & Onion Bakes don't even pick up M:( - so no chance of that - but one of the other ones they bought (the Beef Pasties) aren't even available in M (as far as I know;):D) anyway so it would never have worked. They bought two Steak Bakes and had them compare against M at £1 each:). It didn't work for me when I bought four Steak Bakes earlier. I can see that it is possible to visit six Ms and find none that show the mbuy offer. I started off with a similar situation for me in my 'foreign' stores today. Of the Ms I went to - in the end, four! - although the last one was just a short stop at my local one with one of my family later in the evening - I found only one of them even showing the mbuy offer today.

The main nearby M for me now, finally, has the 2 for £1 showing on the White French Sticks (this is just something else - you won't find it on the receipt below). However, none of the other three stores today, including the more distant ones, had the "in-store baked bread including French sticks" mbuy label showing at all. My 'own' M has put the mbuy label on but their label has an OOD end date - just hopeless! - that mbuy is still on until 13th March in M though - not that you would know from many stores - only my own smaller store had that even showing (last week) - in the period of the offer, I've now been to five stores that weren't nearby (in the past two/three weeks) and none of them have been found showing the offer when I visited. I have four other local stores that don't have it up when I have visited. I think so few Ms are even showing it I would be surprised if it got picked up on the APG. The Tiger baguette should be safer, as it's '2 for £1' is clearly printed on the wrapping (in every store that I've seen that has the product - and the vast majority do).

I don't think M has the 450g Beef Pasties - size in M (about 300g) is much smaller. It was Mars Ice Cream that was their 2 for £3. Thankfully it has returned N/A for M:D - may be much more expensive price (£2.24 each?) in M. Thank goodness for those lack of any SELs on the shelves in M:rotfl::T. (Not really :T though, as they should have bought the Nestle Fab Strawberry Lollies:p.)

At least they bought the SP 12 pack toilet roll though, instead of the 6 pack that compares £1 each against £2 each:( for M when M's is double-length jumbo roll.

Either the Mars Ice Cream has gone or it was a 6 pack at £2.24. I think it may have been that (6 pack) that was £1 before, as, I recall, it was Tvs M so not available in A, although neither the 4 nor the 6 pack are showing on msm for M now. I do still find them around in freezers on the bottom shelf with no price labels at all for them. Mars Ice Cream bars are no longer RTC in M - they went up! Mars Ice Cream 4 possibly is available in M and may be a quite bit more expensive (than A's offer)! I think the Men's Blade Razors may be £1 in M (were 4 for £3 sometime last year) as they are the fixed head ones I am thinking of. They don't compare - I've never been aware of them doing so against M.

The Aussies are off in M. The ones that were £4.50 individual price have remained that individual price - however the mbuy has changed from 2 for £5 to much more expensive 3 for £10 pricing:(.

    What are they?

As far as vs M is concerned, should be one with either R White Lemonade Lollies or Nestle Fab Strawberry £1.95 vs £1 - although, sometimes, even with a trigger, these don't work out too much better (still paying £1.50 each on 2 for £3 and only getting refunded on the non-trigger). We've done it before in the past though - it has been good, although, nowadays, ever savvier:D, I doubt whether it really is that good as it's still branded lollies and they still work out quite expensive as not much weight compared to own brand elsewhere. (Rocket Lollies in Iceland about twice the volume for £1. Even if people got 2x half size branded packs - would still be £3 less 95p less 10p = still a lot more than £1 cost!)

.....When you go to school for a perfectly serious, grown up meeting about your 14 year old son's GCSE options and his French teacher tells you he has 'impressive oral skills' -_pale_

lots of red faces and sweaty giggling. That went well :rotfl:

I think it might be ok because the teacher was no more than 12 :rotfl::rotfl:

I'll move the old M list to this thread (from the last thread) but have no chance of updating it yet.

If anything, I'm missing those own brand biscuits - they seem to have discontinued them and just moved to more expensive branded biscuits in my A. Smaller packs of branded = more expensive price to me. I did find some Bourbon biscuits at about 22p in Lidl - about half pack size of A's old discontinued:p SP, so, :doh:about the same price as before:(.

EDIT: I may as well now mention, since I have removed it entirely from the M list rather than just crossing it out (was previously potential Tvs M), Crawford's Thin Arrowroot (200g) in M was 50p - now £1.46!:eek:

:rotfl::rotfl:I've found two additional Echo Falls Fruit Fusions that aren't on my list. Piecemeal you see - one from one store, the other one with an incorrect price but suggested it might be on offer by a second store (wasn't in the first) and price checked by actual scanning in a third store (price on shelf was incorrect there too:rotfl:). Both of the two additions turn out to be N/A in A and both are on msm anyway:doh::rotfl:.
