Great that you managed to get there safely and had a super time. Just what you needed FC , so let's hope you're able to get out and about abit more.

Di, I've just seen your post too, wow, what a staggering amount you raised. Well done for all your hard work too, I know you were so worried in the early days as to whether you could pull it off :)

Is this going to be an annual event Di? :)

Back later after tea, must also catch up to see how right or wrong I was with my guess of who's who :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes everyone's guesses have been correct.
We really had a lovely day and who knows maybe it could be an annual event but I don't think it could ever be as successful as today.
BQ how good was Paul the compare!! Just the right person for the job it's days like today that you realise what good friends we have.
FC I'm so grateful that you played taxi driver and came as I know how poorly you must be feeling today:A
Just so you know we were back home by three although I could have stayed all day the surroundings are so lovely there.
Thank you again to you all x

After yesterday's interview, although they said that they'd let me know next week, I was kind of hoping they'd ring today to put me out of my misery and so I wasn't sweating on it all weekend.

Well, they did. I was beaten to the post by an internal candidate. Again.

    But.

Her job has now become available and they want to see me on Monday to discuss it :j :j

I know I shouldn't get excited about it after previous disappointment but I'm sat here with only you lot for company and my asbo cat upstairs snoring on my bed :o

It's gonna be a long wait between now and Monday, but I suspect that I may have landed myself a job :j :j :j I'm not getting the flags and fizz out just yet but I had to share with someone and it might as well have been you lot :)

omg, how crazy is that :T. You've got it obviously otherwise they wouldn't have rung you until next week to say 'unlucky' :). You must have had your chin up and a smile on your face :) and of course interviewed well :T

Right, that said, I'm off for my tea :). See you all later X
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

He has been missing since last July, I had read last year that he was and hoped he would be found ok. :( He was a regular at Larmer Tree Festival among others until he retired few years ago. :A

I didn't realise he was local to you QoC...

He was a bristol man through and through. He played all over, although I never got to see him.

Where they found him is just up the road. He'd have been able to see the Concorde, which is close to any bristolians heart :A

..and me I arrived in London yesterday afternoon in one piece with no wrong turns:)
Grandson now asleep but its been a rewarding day with lots of laughs and clapping of hands and standing with no support - his eyes tell it all. but most important no screaming:T
We went out at 9.15 walked to local T imagine my joy when I saw jiggy pies- that soon tune to sadness as there was no yellow flsh sticker on them:( but I did find the free yogurts from cos:)
popped into superdrug on the way by no irn bru :(
looked in boots in anticipation for meal deal offer via o2 for Monday - at least they have a section for it but very small area
Popped into S on the way back no biscuits ( cos)
and no waitrose nearby for the biscuits:(
so not as good a morning as I had hoped - but just received the reward from cos for the yogurts 1p profit :T

No, been local to Norwich for the last 10 years or so (Husband and dad of 2 littluns), although only just moved to the south of the city so the A's and T stores I use are new in that sense ;) Always been interested in money-saving. Used to be a comper in my teens, then life and adulthood took hold and now I'm interested in glitching etc as a hobby to supplement a healthy, frugal life-style. So for example the recent chocolate glitch was not for me as I would just devour it needlessly; whereas store-cupboard deals and fruit/veg/meat deals I'm interested in.

Mind you, I have indulged in a couple of pies this week;)

Right Maximoo, you are no longer a lurker:cool: plenty of folk on here like to chat, plenty of men too

I was just thinking where the other Mr T stores are , isn't there one up near The Boundary? Before you get to the roundabout airport turn?

Ok , I must go finish my tea before it goes cold

It was a pleasure. I wasn't feeling too bad today although I was tired when I got home! A little snooze sorted that out though.

Just a heads up folks, if Di ever tells you she is 40 minutes away......double it  :rotfl::rotfl: You know I'm joking, it was actually a very pleasant drive.

I've also had a chance to have a good look at my raffle prize. Very nice quality earrings indeed. Your boss was very generous with donations :T
