Penalised for Partial Transfer?

Hi,
If I were to make a purchase on a 0% purchase card, still within the promotional period and then transfer this amount to a balance transfer card, would I be penalised?
Might seem a strange thing to do but my 0% purchase period has just ended, so rather than apply for a new card I'm looking to purchase on someone else's card and then transfer the spend to my own balance transfer card, however I want to make sure I'm not going to affect their 0% purchase offer.
Thanks
Dan

No, you wouldn't be penalised except paying for the BT.
And you don't even need a card with 0% on purchases as all cards have some interest-free period for purchases if the balance is paid in full every month.0 -
although most CC allowed BTs from a card in some-one else's name, just check yours does.danhenshy23 wrote: »Hi,
