Thank you. I'm hoping to do this using my mouse sander. I'll start with the 120 grit and see how it goes. It's good to know I don't have to go all the way to the wood for the primer to stick.
I'll also give the Leyland primer a go, seems to have better reviews than the ronseal one.
Tbh, for what you need to do you will probably find it quicker and easier to do it by hand. You are only trying to make a key for the new paint.You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -
Had the same problem when I first moved into my property (although we had a few less spindles!)
I didn't even think about it, I just sanded down the rough areas by hand a little and then painted a satin paint for wood on top. I got it for Homebase but have no idea what make it was. Did the job and now looks lovely!My debt free diary
