Bank-Smart PPI Claim

hi just wondering if anyone has had any success with writing to banksmart regarding alleged monies owing? Banksmart first contacted me around 2009/10 regarding PPI claims which they say I was owed. To my memory I contacted this company by phone to enquire about their knowledge of my finances, I do not remember ever signing an instruction for them to investigate anything on my behalf. For a number of years i have ignored their written correspondence but recently they have passed my alleged debts of £548 to a debt collection agency who are phoning me on a weekly basis. I don't believe I owe this company any money but not sure where to go to next or whether I might need to get legal advice on this matter

I'm afraid Bank-Smart seems to have a reputation for this.

I suggest you make a complaint to service@bank-smart.co.uk with a copy to consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk that their agent is pursuing you over a debt you do not owe.

Also tell the DCA that you deny the debt and ask them not to contact you further.
