Visum online estate agents

Looking to sell our house ASAP as we've put an offer in on a house we like, have a friend who is really interested but want a 'plan b' just incase they can't/decide not to purchase in the end.
Been looking at various estate agents. A local agent has valued our house and its bang in line with what we thought, but they will charge 1%+VAT, so around £1500 for our £135k 2 bed mid terrace.
I've had a look at house network and tepilo and both seem quite good, but came across another called 'visum'. They charge £99 and get you on rightmove, zoopla etc. Most reviews I've read are for landlords, very few for people who have actually sold through them.
Anyone used them on here who can vouch for them? For £99 I'm not expecting much effort their end, but would like to know that they do actually pass on enquiries etc. We have 2 kids, so viewings best done by ourselves anyway, and we can do/done floor plans, photos etc and a pretty decent write up of the house/area. Website reckons we have full control over advert etc, and I'd probably get a friend or two to ring up and be interested just to see what they actually do.
£99 almost seems to good to be true, is it worth a punt? I take it the basic £500 packages on HN and tepilo etc the agents will negotiate on your behalf and chase up feedback, is that about the only difference?
Cheers

I'll take that as a 'no', but for £99 (well, £207 as we're going for a premium RM listing) I'll be the forum guinea pig. Will keep this thread updated.0

I used them successfully in 2014 and unsuccessfully in 2015.
If you think you have a hot in demand property then use it and save fees, but if you are worried it will sit around then you might need an EA pushing it."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -

I used them for a property let a couple of years ago. It worked, but there were various aspects of landlord/tenant law they simply didn't understand: Dunno if they've improved.
I have no plans to use them ever again.0 -
Ok, well I've listed our house tonight via their site, will hopefully appear early tomorrow.
I've had a right good look at their site, and must say speaking from a web dev point of view I'm very impressed. Each step is straight forward to complete, it automatically saves and costs very clearly laid out, works equally well in any browser. Doubt I could come with anything better. The FAQ is a good read and the site is full of information, based on their bricks and mortar experience. Have added one photo and will add the others on tomorrow afternoon.
Verifying was straightforward, just need a scan of passport and proof of address - matched betting comes in useful again
Payment is through paypal, not ideal as I wanted credit card protection in the event of a total !!!! up, but its a well known and generally trusted service (unless you've been on the receiving end!). Went for the 'gold' package at just over £100 for 28 days, will probably add RM feature listing once I know everything is OK.
So far, not had to have any contact or input from visum, they'll now verify my information so can't yet comment on service, but so far so good.0 -
Thanks for the info & ongoing review,
Do they provide a sign for outside your house!?!0 -
You can pay extra and have a sign up, I'm in a cul de sac so isn't worth it.
Details verified at 8.09, submitted to portals on 8.15, so now waiting for right move etc to update which maybe up to 4 hours.0 -
Had a couple of enquiries, updated our information on visum an hour or two ago and the updates went 'live' 5 minutes later on rightmove. Pleased so far so have now just gone for the 'feature' rightmove advert.
Don't know if I'm allowed to post the advert on here, but I think it looks alright, wifes done a good job of photos and floor plan.0 -
Don't see why you shouldn't post a link to the property, unless you secretly work for visum!0
