Hi all,
My kitchen floor is entirely wet underneath the cover.
This was first spotted a few days ago. Now the water constantly seems to be building up and I am using wet cloths to collect it and rinse it.
I have no idea what's caused this. The only thing that's changed in my house is I had the roof gutters replaced two weeks ago.
The damp floor is nowhere else in the house so I am not sure what the issue is.
Could anyone please advice on what to do? I am really worried if I leave this for too long it could be costly or move to other parts of the house!

Washing machine leak, water pipe leak, dishwasher, its got to be a slow leak somewhere, them flexible water pipes can spring a small leak.0

Yes it may be that. I had a similar spill under a washing machine 6 months ago but it was much less.
How can I find the leak?0 -
You'll probably need to pull the appiances out to let you visually inspect the pipes.
My suggestion as a way to help locate hard to spot leaks is to tie bits of toilet tissue just under the various most likely leak points (where the washing machine/dishwasher flexible piples connect to the copper pipes and machines etc).
Leave the machines out for a while so you can check more easily, and whilst they're out check the pipes are screwed on tight.
More complicated causes of water can be things like the float valves on the dishwasher getting stuck so it's over filling and water is getting past the door seal (I had that on my previous dishwasher, it was a simple fix once I knew what it was).0
