You will possibly find more recent threads if you search the board for 'software'.

MS Money is great but no longer supported.

If you want a formally supported equivalent, try AceMoney but that costs a small amount of money.

Both are just elaborate spreadsheets. You could do it yourself with free versions of Google Sheets or OpenOffice wotsits.

    MSMoney works

    A fully featured mature product

You don't really need support, one reason they stopped working on it there was nothing more to add to make money from people upgrading.

Create your own spreadsheet - it's not difficult and you get something you want not what Microsoft thinks you want.

    Cheers fj
  • Another vote from me for AceMoney. It's very easy to use and has some great features. You can predict your recurring transactions into the future, so you can see how your finances will look in 6 months time for example. I recently used it to project forward into retirement, to make sure I'd still be able to live within my means when my income drops.

I know colsten is keen on AceMoney but as a user of MS Money for many years now I really can't see any need to move away from it, and I'd be surprised if there is anything that's more straightforward out there since the demise of Quicken.
