    No. CCs often waive charges or make other concessions for the sake of keeping a customer from whom they hope to get future business. Also it can be cheaper to make such an offer rather than have the expense of dealing with a complaint, even one they ultimately win.

    I disagree with you but that's not going to get me my money back. If their paperwork says payment due date XXX and their payment terms specifically say allow 3 days for as cheque but nothing about debit card being next working day IMO puts them in the wrong. Why would any normal consumer know that a debit card payment wouldn't clear until a working day had passed especially as it goes straight from my bank?

    Also on that note, why have they changed their paperwork now to specifically state it takes 1 working day if they've not been proved wrong or decided they were in the wrong?

    Obviously I'm not actually after an answer to either of the above but it will be my case when arguing against them and I think anyone other than a bank would agree with that.

    Actually just checking their new paper work and it still only says 'we recommend you allow one business day' not 'it will take 1 business day'
