Do any sainsburys have contactless yet?

I contacted them a few months ago and they told me it was going to be rolled out beginning 2016.. I wonder if they've started yet.

It's more traditional south of the river, cash or a sawn off shotgun will be the only approved methods.

According to their Twitter feed it's being trialled in select stores from May onwards.

About time they did... They've had the right hardware for a long time now.

And on the self-checkouts, they all seem to have that Lara Croft type character.

I've always thought it would be great if as a reward for spending a large amount or swiping your nectar card or whatever, you could choose your own character. You could go for a "shirty" assistant, or even better - one that makes sarcastic quips about your shopping as you scan.

Sainsbury's are defo one of those supermarkets 'stuck behind the times'.

I'm still flabbergasted they don't have a 'tesco direct' type of website.

By the time they catch up with contactless I'll probably won't even notice.

I don't get it, when the new Sainsburys opened near me, it had contactless, then they got ripped out and replaced with normal Chip and pin machines.

They did, it obviously just wasn't profitable for them. Presumably it contributes to why they're so interested in buying Argos.
