Accomodation in Glasgow, Fort William, Inverness

Hi,
I really hope someone can help. I am looking for some accomodation for a few nights in or around Glasgow, a few in or around Fort William and lastly Inverness.
I have had a look on some websites, but can't seem to find anything affordable.
It doesn't even need to be a hotel. A B&B would do. Has anyone got any insider tips? It's a surprise and there is 4 of us going. I thought I'd be able to find some good offers, but so far nothing
The cheapest I found so far was £400 just for 4 nights in Glasgow.
Help please.

Hi
I can't really help with Glasgow and Fort William, but we have been to Inverness a couple of times recently. Both times, we have stayed at the same guest house, and we'll use it again next time we go:

Is it 4 adults or a family of 4 going? The Inverglen has an en-suite family room with a double and 2 singles (which is the room that we always use). I think it cost us £75 per night (based on 2 adults and 1 child).
Hope this helps.

Often you can pricematch the Thistle Hotel in Inverness for £100 cashback from Londontown.com Just make sure the booking is the same.

when are you looking to go?
the Mountain Biking World Championships are on in Fort William soon so accomodation up there will be few and expensive.
try www.rates2go.com if you are going in the next month or so.
as mentioned above, the local tourist board can be good for b&bs etc.
whenever i am going anywhere i just google " *destination* b&b ", you might need to sift through the result a bit but you will find what you are looking for.
travelodge often have resonable deals if you book in advance - as low as £15 per room if you can book 1 month in advance. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
Suppose it depends what you're after really.
In Inverness-
There's 3/4 hostel's of varying price and quality, I think the "better" of them is the offical SYHA place (http://www.syha.org.uk/SYHA/web/site/Hostels/Inverness.asp)
Then there's probably hundreds of B&B's, usually start at about £20 a night, see http://www.visit-inverness.com/
Next up from that there's hotels and motels (2 travelodge's!)
IMO I'd avoid the thistle hotel - I'm sure it's a nice place inside, but it's rather unsightly outside, and is located next to the roundabout where the 2 biggest trunk roads in the highlands meet.
Then there's also one or two really posh hotels with rooms starting at £100+
Loads of info at http://www.visitscotland.com/ http://www.inverness-scotland.com/ etc0
