Deleting web sites visited on Windows 10

Good morning all. I have posted in this section before and always receives valuable replies.
I operate Windows 10. Recently we needed a new Toilet seat and visited web sites that sold them. We have found what we wanted and the new item fitted. Problem is how do I delete the web sites I visited whilst looking for them. Also pictures of toilet seats constantly appear on different web sites that both my wife and myself visit.
How do we delete these annoying pop ups etc. On the old Windows 7 all we did was use control panel and delete everything. Also there was a facility to delete what you had typed into the search bars like google and bing etc.
Any advice as how to do this would be greatly welcomed. We have had enough of toilet seat information.
Kind regards

Which browser are you using on Windows 10?
Simplest solution would be to install Linux Mint.0 -
You think that's bad. I ordered a Susan Boyle CD for my father-in-law (I don't really like him) and now all I get is adverts for Susan Boyle - how embarrassing.
Have you tried clearing out your cache, cookies etc.?IITYYHTBMAD0 -

I have deleted cookies etc, tried C Cleaner et al. Everything remains the same. There's a bathroom showroom where we purchased the seat from but each time you enter the first two letters in a search engine the damn showroom appears and bog seats are then displayed in each and every corner of the screen.
I use Microsoft edge as a browser because Chrome is complicated. On windows 7 all I did was enter a web address and it stored it, eg, my e mail server, my football teams web site, but this windows ten I have to type the address each time I want to use the site, but yet bog seats are everywhere.
I think the search engines need clearing because I believe it is they who store the info.

What a ridiculous suggestion, take your Linux obsession elsewhere.0 -

I no longer get Toilet seat advertisements.

If you feel sad and are missing them...
https://www.google.co.uk/search?tbm=shop&q=toilet+seats&hl=en&gws_rd=ssl
I won't get plagued by mentions of toilet seats after making that search though as I run the Ghostery plugin/extension (available in Chrome FireFox and probably more).0
