I drink huge amounts of water too dragonette - 3-5 litres a day. I'm not diabetic, but I get dry mouth, headaches etc. apparently it's just habit. I also work on the phone most of the time and do a lot of public speaking which doesn't help.

What does help is either chewing gum or sucking boiled sweets/ throat pastilles. I also try to sip water rather than gulp when I'm working.

Maybe appletiser as an alternative? Fizzy without a lot of added sugar.

Smoothies and fruit juices are a nice change but just high in sugar.

Rocks squash doesn't contain any sweeteners etc. it's usually available in Sainsburys.

    Chilled hibiscus tea, very refreshing.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
