Asia at Christmas - Help with flights

Hello,
I wonder if anyone with a better idea of flight times and costs could help me please.

My parents want to spend Christmas in Asia (my brother lives in Hong Kong but can't get back to the UK but is happy to do short haul from there) but the flights I have found so far seem to be seriously expensive.

We (4 adults) want to leave the UK (London) around 21st December and return around the 4th January but can shift a few days if necessary. Any hotel suggestions are also very welcome.

In an ideal situation my mum would like to stay in a hotel / cottage type thing on an idylic beach somewhere :rolleyes: but obviously all suggestions are appreciated!!

Unfortunately the time of year that you all want to go is pretty much peak as you would be away for Christmas AND New Year, both peak times in Asia (assuming you are flying in and out of Bangkok). These flights book up really quickly months in advance.

It may also be that the London to Bangkok leg is full with people going on to Australia etc who are going there for Christmas aswell.

A very rough price guide for London on the dates you wanted was coming in at around £1200 via kelkoo flights checker which is very high.

I am going to Asia this winter aswell and wanted to fly back around January 4th, but couldn't get a flight until the 9th without it costing £350 more ! (Scotland)

I'm afraid you have to get in early to get the deals for Christmas

Have a look at OasisHongKong.
Besides their cheaper prices, they also have a deal on currently for 1/3 off over 55's (don't know what ages you all are). a companion of any age can enjoy the same fare to fly with you!
I think on the dates you wish to fly it is £545 each rtn (including taxes, etc)
This deal is valid over xmas.
