Energy switch: First Utility exit penalties
Options
The main site currrently states: It's also worth noting if your current deal has exit penalties most providers barring sometimes SSE, First Utility & Ovo don't charge for internal tariff changes.
First Utility used not to charge for internal tariff changes, but appear to have started to do so in recent weeks. I switched between several of their tariffs in 2014/2015 as new better ones became available.
First Utility also used to do reliable monthly billing, but now claim that this is no longer the norm, even if one submits readings monthly.
Their website now appears to have noticably different layout and content for different customers.

Ovo was charging £30 per fuel for a tariff hop a month or so ago. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
