Just a warning to any Talktalk customers who took up the offer of the free upgrade.
I did, and have just been charged £52 for downloaded movies !
Probably my fault for not really being very TV savvy but only movies watched via 'Picturebox' are included.
Too make matters worse, because I went over the limit I did not know I had my 'phone was cut off. Would have made more sense to cut off the movies ?
So even though my bill was paid via direct debit the phone was barred until I increased my limit.
So, as an 'apology' they give me free movies which turn out not to be free then charge me extra to use my phone. Great Scam.

OOPs I did it again !
Yup I fell for the TalkTalk marketing scam again.
This time they offered 'free' sky boost over Christmas. Yes they did emphasise that it had to be cancelled or I will be charged. Well I signed up, never used the service, and tried to cancel in early January.
I was told I could not cancel until 21st, but was assured I would not be charged. Of course I was.
No Email option so I used 'Live' chat, one hour and a quarter later, I managed to convince the operative that I did not want or ask for the boost and had indeed tried to cancel previously.
As an apology I was offered a new deal which would have cost me more than I currently pay !
At this point I was glad to get away with the promise of a refund.
I am afraid when renewal time comes around I will be looking very carefully at the competition. Which is a shame as I feel Talktalk provide a reasonable service at good value.
But this level of customer service does not encourage me to continue with them.
