Tape for sticking up posters?

Hi
I have heard that Uni's are funny about sticking up posters with blue tack as it leaves marks on the walls. I'm sure I have heard about some tape which isn't meant to leave marks on walls. Its like double sided tape but a bit wider and can be used to stick all sorts of things on walls.
My Mum said she saw it on that Anthea Turner programme that they have on BBC3. On the programme they used it to stick up Christmas Cards.
I have tried looking for it in various shops but I can't find it. I have had a look on the internet but I'm not really sure what its called. I tried searching for "Poster Tape" or "Wall Tape" but didn't really find anything.
Has anyone heard of this before and do you know where I can buy it or even what its called so I can search for it?
Thanks
Craig

My daughter used somthing that sounded like this tape in her uni room-but pulled paint off worse than blu tack. There is a white version of blutack that she used in as small as blob as possible and this peeled off fine-no marks.we use it for xmas decorations too and no marks on wallpaper.Think l got it in sainsburys and wh smiths.:j this money saving is such fun:T0

You can get little things which look like clear sticky pads - I think they're made by Scotch - and they're quite good for sticking up posters etc. However, it's best to try anything you want to use in an inconspicuous place first, as uni halls don't always use the best quality paint and there's always a chance that you're going to cause damage. If you do put posters up, remember to move them about occasionally as the adhesives often get stronger over time.0

How about using masking tape? If you don't want an unsightly gash of tape in each corner then you can fold/roll it over so it's sticky all over and then use it behind the poster as you would with blu tack. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0

Gripping stuff - it ain't cheap, but it does what it says on the tin!
You need lots of it, more than you'd expect to use with blu-tak or masking tape or any of the other things suggested. But it is ACE! Although I accept no responsibility for damage to wall surfaces ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Yes thats it. Thanks for the link. Thanks to everyone else for their ideas as well. I have bookmarked this thread and I think I'm going to wait until the freshers fair as I know they have a Poster stand there and they might also sell things for putting posters up.0
