Converting John Lewis vouchers to cash?

Would it be possible for me to purchase these paper vouchers with the card vouchers I have?

Where do you get the paper vouchers from? Are these from Waitrose moreso than John Lewis? Can you choose to have paper vouchers rather than the card?

What would they do if I return the item in store?

Will they refund me in the same split payment method?

The amount you paid by debit card will go back to your debit card.

The amount you paid by vouchers (paper or card) will go back on a voucher card.

Of course they will know what method you used, it will be on your receipt.

I suggest you either advertise them on Facebook, local selling pages or friends and family. Other than that you will need to accept eBay/paypals fees and chalk it up to experience.

Apologies for the inconsistences with card/paper vouchers.

Until this thread I didn't realise they did paper ones, and that they no longer sell them.

I think it may be an issue of me accepting the ebay fees.

Are there any decent ebay / paypal calculators out there? Some of those ive tried have given different results

Just so you know, JL doesn't do the paper vouchers any more. The only time you get paper vouchers is when you earn points with your partnership card and the points are converted to vouchers.

Or if you have a JL bond, from which part of the income is paid as cheque and partly in JL vouchers.

Ebay will take 10% of your selling price, paypal take 3.4% of your selling price plus 20p.


So if you sell £250 worth of vouchers (as one item) - ebay will take £25 and paypal will take £8.70 leaving you with £216.30
