Switching Query

I want to try and avail of one of the many switching bonuses on offer. Clydesdale looks like a good option with £150 being offered.

I know they require £1000 to be paid into the account within 31 days and two direct debits to go out within the first 31 days but other than that is there anything to be aware of?

Make sure you not cancel your Direct Debt with your bank, lets your new bank do transfer of all your DD s ,if you do it your self they wont pay you £150

The account that I was thinking of using only has my part time salary paid into it so I will need to add two DD's to it before switching and manually transfer the £1000 across when the new account it opened.

I hope you have more luck than me.I only got as far as the 1st page of the application before their system crashed and now it won't let me retrieve my application to continue the process.....and this after it wouldn't even let me use Opera to apply, something about it not being the latest version .They are wrong,I am on the latest version.

I also failed with an application to First Direct but that's a different story entirely.Suffice to say their systems don't work properly.

If you do apply to Clydesdale bear this in mind.....this is a quote from them
" In regards to applying online for a new current account, our website is designed to be most compatible with Internet Explorer. We are aware of issues with other internet service providers."

The issues are their system does not work on Opera,Firefox or Chrome and maybe other browsers that I haven't tried.
    Quite frankly it's a joke
