Yes new. From a leasing company.0 -
What does the manufacturer's service schedule say? That's what you'll have to go by, under the terms of the lease.0

On the website it says 12000/1 year.
So I assume that means I service the car at the end of each year I have used the car.
So does this mean I have to have it serviced by the last day of the agreement which is 24 months?0 -

Unless you do more than 12,000 miles in that year.So does this mean I have to have it serviced by the last day of the agreement which is 24 months?
Yes, if it's due, it needs to be done.0 -
Yes, however you don't need to have it serviced at the main dealers. Providing you stick to the service schedule for your car 12k/1yr which is ever soonest and any invoices for servicing state that genuine manufacturers parts were used quoting part numbers and the grade of engine oil etc on the invoice . This will keep the vehicles warranty valid. Look up European block exemption warranty details.
I leased a seat ibiza new for 2 years. Service intervals were 10k/1year. I had mine serviced by an independent garage and saved quite a bit. The first two services on a new cars life generally don't add up to a huge amount, filters and oil change. They used parts from seat.
On another note I calculated i was going to go over my milage allowance by approx 2.5k miles by the end of the two years. The lease company needed six months notice before the end of the lease agreement and they increased my dd payments slightly. It was cheaper than paying the charge for excess millage. When they came to collect it a few weeks before they sent out an email detailing what was acceptable wear and tear on the car. i.e. stone chips etc. I had a few bad ones and one chipped alloy. My work was mega busy and didnt have time to get them fixed. I was anticipating to be pay an inflated fee for their repair. When they picked the car up they did a detailed inspection and took photographs of the minor defects. They never got in touch with me, that was 10 months ago. There was only 15 miles left in the tank aswellThe guy said most of the lease cars just go to auction anyway!

Check first, although the block exemption applies to warranties, some people have had problems because their leasing agreement had required main dealer servicing as a condition of the lease.0
